How to Request a Ride-Along with an SVRS Unit
Interested in becoming an EMT but want to see what it's like before you enroll in a class? Are you already enrolled in a class and need to fulfill your ride time requirement? Or just interested in seeing how EMS works?
This is your opportunity!
SVRS does have a ride-along program for civilians and students. You will ride along with an SVRS crew on a duty shift and see everything as it happens. Just fill out the Observer Release form and return it. Once the criminal background check has been completed, an officer will contact you to schedule the ride-along. Note that the state police require ALL of the identification fields on the form when doing the background check, so incomplete forms will be returned for completion. EMT students must also include their CPR expiration date.
Forms can be returned to;
